Morgan was born July 2nd, 1989 to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. Morgan was raised by her parents in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan enjoyed many games as a child but only began to play soccer when she was 14 years old. After high school, Morgan joined Cypress Elite's club team. They were the winners of the Coast Soccer League Under-16 championship and placed third in the under-19 bracket. Morgan continued her education at Diamond Bar High School, where she improved her soccer abilities. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has selected Morgan to be an All-American Athlete. She also played in the Olympic Development Division's state and regional divisions. Morgan continued her soccer career at UC Berkeley, where she led the California Golden Bears team in scoring from the very beginning of the season.
