ALEX MORGAN BIO

Morgan was born July 2nd, 1989 to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. Morgan was raised by her parents in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan enjoyed many games as a child but only began to play soccer when she was 14 years old. After high school, Morgan joined Cypress Elite's club team. They were the winners of the Coast Soccer League Under-16 championship and placed third in the under-19 bracket. Morgan continued her education at Diamond Bar High School, where she improved her soccer abilities. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has selected Morgan to be an All-American Athlete. She also played in the Olympic Development Division's state and regional divisions. Morgan continued her soccer career at UC Berkeley, where she led the California Golden Bears team in scoring from the very beginning of the season. The team was able to reach the NCAA Tournament in four years and to two times to the second round. Morgan was among four finalist for the Honda Sports Award and the first Berkeley student to be ranked among the top Hermann Trophy finalists. After graduating earlier in the year, Morgan was ranked third in the history of goals and points for Berkeley. Morgan played soccer at the collegiate as well as national level throughout her college. Morgan suffered an injury to her ACL in her first season with Berkeley. It prevented her from playing in U.S. women's under-20 soccer until April 2008. She scored her debut international goal in Mexico at the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship. Morgan was also a part-time player at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She scored four goals, which earned her team a gold-medal. One of them was a win goal against Italy that secured the U.S. team a final spot in the 2011 World Cup. Morgan was the youngest member of the team, and he was the captain of the team to victory against France. Though the U.S. ultimately lost to Japan, Morgan became the first player in history to record both a goal and an assist in a final World Cup game.

Kaitlyn Ann Vincie, born December 10, 1987 was an American journalist and sports anchor. She works as a reporter at Fox NASCAR and hosts the daily news and updates show NASCAR Race Hub.
