Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook shows easy to master methods and her signature blonde spiky locks. Chef Burrell was also employed in some of New York's top restaurant chains, delved into Italian cuisine as well as its traditions. She also competed in Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. Following her graduation with an English as well as Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by enrolling into The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aims to enrich the lives of children facing problems. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and coach, she travels throughout America to speak about the joy of cooking as well as her career. Anne said she felt lucky to be able to impart her enthusiasm to others.
